Straight From The Heart

I came here for the treatment looking for answers in my past. I see now that the answers are in my future. Ibogaine was like a key that opened my mind.

Ibogaine is a teaching tool. It taught me that there is potential inside. And if you can tap that potential, you can use it to help in your recovery.

THANK YOU

THANK YOU!

Who would have thought that over 14 months ago I'd now be clean and sober? Who could have imagined I'd be happy, joyous and free from the sickness that I've lived with each and every hour of each and every day - let alone still be alive to speak of it?

Return to Wellness

A Return to Wellness

I am a 43-year-old recovering addict, with a 20-year history of serious addiction to narcotics. My disease knew no bounds in my unrelenting desire for increasing quantities of drugs. As time passed, it became impossible for me to satisfy my cravings. I found myself trapped in a hell I was powerless to get out of. My pain, anguish and desperation were beyond measure. I came to a point where I felt that I couldn't possibly escape from my plight, and began to accept that I would be dependent on narcotics for the remainder of my life.

Foundation for a Drug-Free Future

A Foundation for a Drug-Free Future

Prior to doing Ibogaine, I had tried pretty much every opiate detox on the planet. While all these methods work to various extents - this isn't saying too much. All you really need to get off opiates is an empty room and time. Heroin addiction wasn't my problem, it was my solution. My problem is the fact that I've come undone psychically, mentally and spiritually. Even after heroin stopped "working" (taking it to get normal and function), it still provided an emotional anesthetic, killed my feelings, and stopped the noise in my head.

Hey there pretty girl, standing there alone,
Hey there little girl, you are not alone.

Enter my world;
We will walk through your journey.
I will show you how to live in perfect harmony.
Feel the breeze as it sails by,
Watch the caterpillars grow,
How they turn to beautiful butterflies.
How high the birds fly above with absolute love.

New Opportunities

New Opportunities

Having recently come up on one year clean, it's only natural that I reflect on my growth over this past year.

I was fortunate enough to experience the journey of Ibogaine and the Advanced Health Transitions program. It's hard for me to explain how grateful I am today. I have a life, and every day it continues to unfold in wonderful ways. Ibogaine gave me a glimpse of my future with drugs and life without them; the plant showed me that I did, indeed, have a choice between the two. I would not change anything in my path, because today I see that all will be well as long as I stay on the path that God intended me to take.

I truly believe that I would not be where I am today without Ibogaine. Today I wake up looking forward to what the day will bring. I have hope and love for myself and others. What a glorious freedom!

The Editor's Corner

I have observed that, amongst my fellow, successful Advanced Health Transitions graduates, there is a sense of being privileged to participate in a crusade: that of bringing this extraordinary vehicle of deliverance to other suffering addicts. So, we have taken to calling ourselves "iboganauts," in the best tradition of heroic voyages, and in reference to our own journey of discovery.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH, Deborah C. Mash, Ph.D.

The anti-addictive properties of Ibogaine were first reported in 1982. Ibogaine has been studied under FDA approval in the United States, but lack of research funding has limited progress. Despite these obstacles, new information on the visionary drug has come from offshore research studies. t grows in West Central Africa. The indigenous people there use Ibogaine in low doses to combat fatigue, hunger and thirst, and in high doses as a sacrament in religious rituals. The pharmacological properties of Ibogaine have been researched for over 100 years. Voyaging With Iboga

Voyaging With Iboga

I was asked to share my experience regarding the Ibogaine treatment, and how it has affected my recovery from drug addiction.

The following is a brief sketch of my background prior to Ibogaine: I'm a 37-year-old Native American male, who was raised in a very spiritual way on my reservation in upstate New York. But somewhere along the way I lost myself, made many poor decisions, and missed many great opportunities. Due to the twisted arrogance I developed in my illness, I often chose the hard way. I believe, though, that my Creator always watched over me and cared for me, even when it seemed that I was alone. See? My Creator guided me to Ibogaine!
