Is Ibogaine treatment safe?

As with any medical procedure, there are risks involved.  However, with supervised medical professionals, vital monitoring, and pre-treatment medical evaluations, you will be in very good hands.  David and his medical staff have been providing treatment for more than twelve years and have every patient's safety and well-being as their primary objective.  David's expertise in proper medical evaluations, dosing, and treatment monitoring, make him one of the most sought after Ibogaine practitioners in the world.  You are in very good hands under David's care and can expect that we are doing everything possible to make sure your treatment is safe and effective.

Why is Ibogaine more effective than traditional treatment options?

Traditional rehab facilities rarely focus on brain chemistry making the addict endure crippling cravings when they return to their home environment.

Most traditional rehab facilities focus on detoxing a heroin or opiate addict by securing them in a safe environment that prohibits using heroin and other opiates for extended periods of time.  Unfortunately, heroin and opiate addiction has created significant damage to the brain and the chemicals it produces.  Most of the time the length of typical rehab treatment options are not long enough for the brain to repair itself, open up the dopamine pathways and properly produce the needed chemicals to keep a patient from craving and enduring PAWS.  Ultimately, they put the addict back into their normal living environments with massive cravings and little to no changes in brain chemistry, increasing the likelihood of relapse and once again consistent and daily usage.

Ibogaine changes brain chemistry, giving the addict an “interruption” in their addiction, allowing them to never endure withdrawals or face strong, frequent, cravings.

Patients who have undergone Ibogaine treatment have no withdrawal symptoms, cravings, or PAWS.  This is due to it’s amazing properties that almost immediate begin to balance the brain by “turning on” the chemicals it stopped making or reduced drastically.  Any heroin addict reading this statement finds it difficult to believe for they have had a treatment option come remotely close to achieving the benefits of Ibogaine.
Most heroin and opiate addicts feel that opiate withdrawals and cravings are the main reasons for relapse.  They simply can’t endure the never-ending calls to use or the flu like symptoms of withdrawals that last for days and even weeks.  Cravings rarely stop using traditional rehab methods for months, making it nearly impossible for anyone who has access to opiates to stay clean.

Ibogaine has many other benefits that aid in recovering from heroin and opiate addiction.
Most heroin addicts would say that having no or little withdrawals or craving would be enough for them to stop using.  However, there are additional benefits that Ibogaine’s properties provide to help addicts overcome their addiction.  Ibogaine seems to be a neurological balancing agent that helps reduce PTSD, depression, and anxiety, all triggers that wear down on an addict’s willpower.  These added benefits of psychological healing certainly help improve the chances of any heroin or opiate addict’s chances of relapse.

Important Information to Know About Ibogaine Treatment

Many Ibogaine treatment centers use a “one size fits all” protocol for their patients, treating every patient exactly the same regardless of their addiction history, usage, physical attributes or other psychological or physical differences.

David Dardashti has worked very hard the past 12 years to create specific protocols for each addiction type, ailment, and disease for his patients, weighing in many factors other Ibogaine clinics ignore.  David’s protocol for heroin and opiate addiction is typically 4-5 hours (there are factors that can change this time duration), with patients claiming the experience as being introspective and self-reflecting.

“I have had two Ibogaine treatments, with two drastically different experiences.  The first experience was 24 hours long and felt what seemed like a “bad trip”, full of paranoia and anxiety.  My experience with David’s protocol was actually pleasant, one in which I was in much more of a conscious state and psychologically stable.”  - Mark C

The Ibogaine experience is nothing like mushrooms or LSD.  For many patients it is more a tour of your own subconscious where you revisit past life experiences, events, or situations.  Ibogaine's therapeutic properties allow you approach each past event with a new perception or approach.  Many patients claim to seek and find forgiveness, closure, and resolutions to events and people that have typically been unpleasant thoughts or memories.  During the full treatment, patients have the choice of wearing eye covers.  Some find the darkness beneficial, while others prefer to wear nothing over their eyes.  In addition, patients have the opportunity of listening to hand picked music by David Dardashti that seems to help set the mood and experience for patients.   After a short while following your full treatment dosage you remain awake but at a different conscious level.  Many times, you don’t know how much time has elapsed, and you can spend long periods of time not “coming to” or being conscious of your surroundings.  The Ibogaine Clinic’s full treatment is usually 4 or 5 hours in which your vitals are being monitored by a nurse or physician, making certain your safety is always the first priority.

After the 4 or 5 hours the nurse will take you back to your room and encourage you to lie down for a while longer.  Ibogaine makes you feel light headed and a bit off balance for a few  hours.   For this reason, patients lie down during treatment to ensure their safety.

After an additional hour or two (following the treatment) patients will have different responses.  Some like to get up and “get started” and may feel hungry.  Others, will want to lie in bed and relax for a while longer.

How can I expect to feel during Ibogaine treatment?

Every patient has a different experience with Ibogaine.  However, for most, we see consistent outcomes in both physical and mental conditions.

  • Patients lie on their backs during treatment and typically listen to hand picked music to enhance the experience.
  • Every patient is monitored by a nurse and physician and their vitals are taken throughout the treatment.
  • Most patients feel like they are awake, but in a dreamlike state.
  • Every patient's experience is unique to their own life and past experiences, however many claim to resolve traumatic issues by seeking forgiveness, making amends, finding closure or coming to a resolution of sorts.
  • The experience has been described as a journey into the subconscious in which patients become very introspective and find clarity to situations or events that may have been traumatic
